Welcome to the womums world

It has been 4 and half years since I started eveSolutions an events, marketing business and it has been a very busy time and a great  learning experience. Like lots of women I started the business while I was 4 months pregnant with our first child. Fast forward  4 years and I am pregnant with our third child ( due in March ) and new baby www.womums.com.au.

I have been planning this concept for many years and its final conception and delivery is a culmination of life experience and timing. All mums are working mums at some stage of their lives. Some women are thinking about children and how this will impact their careers, finances, relationships; other women have children at varying ages; with each beautiful stage of your child’s development comes more changes to your personal ability to manage work, life, balance;  some mums are looking at re entering the work force after a long break and may be encountering a very different work force to the one they left several years ago.

Many women begin to realise either via education, knowledge or hard felt experience that changes in your work life due to family commitments have a life impact in career development, remuneration levels, super contributions, being able to provide for our children now and in the future.

Women know what women want, and I wanted to create a site with all of the components of a working mums dream site. The internet is a powerful tool and in this instance an online community is a great way for the modern mum to use in her own time and at her own pace.

Career opportunities, career advice, access to professionals in the middle of the night when the kids are sleeping, “what’s on? on the weekend, shopping, bargains, a directory of relevant services and products I need as a mum, carer, entertainer, chef, chief financial officer, and all of the other roles we play daily.

We went live to world in December 2008 and so I ask that you grow with this site and understand that the site will grow over time. I welcome feedback, ideas, participation / contribution in the site and anything else someone would like to share.

Welcome to and introducing my fourth child – www.womums.com.au
